Warning Signs

Warning Signs is the seventh informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!  It is a reprint of a reflection originally appearing on OCA News in September of 2009.  In it the author examines eight warning signs of the abuse of power in a corrupt organization. This is particularly relevant in the Antiochian Archdiocese in relation to the Mafia-like machine surrounding Pope Philip and his wielding of unfettered authority.  It is a well written reflection and worthy of a wide audience - please see that it receives such.

Contra Despota

Contra Despota is the sixth informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!.  It is a reprint of an article translated from Arabic to English originally appearing on Notes On Arab Orthodoxy in November of 2010.  In it the author, Archimandrite Touma (Bitar) examines the clear lack of  "consultation" that is currently the norm amongst our bishops (and by inference), especially with Metropolitan Philip.  As previously noted, I have great respect for Father Touma.  He is an excellent writer and while he does refrain from specifically 'naming names' - he nevertheless speaks quite clearly too our present trials in the Archdiocese.

As always Fr. Touma's words of wisdom are well written and worthy of a wide audience - please see that it receives such.

Yet Another Forgery

Yet Another Forgery is the fifth informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!.  It is a reprint of a news analysis article originally appearing on OCA News in November of 2010.  In it the author examines the appearance of yet another forged (doctored, altered, enhanced - take your pick) document on the official website of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America in relation to the information revealed by Archimandrite Touma (Bitar) in the article entitled The Holy Synod’s Decision about North America: In Search of the Truth (translated from Arabic to English and hosted on Notes on Arab Orthodoxy) regarding the affair.  Neither Metropolitan Philip nor his minions have chosen to address the issue, and the forged Synodal Resolution document remains in place (and in force) on Englewood's website. This is a well written analysis and currently my favorite pamphlet.  My hat is also off to the creator of the satirical illustration featured in the piece (and in this post). Give it a read and see that it reaches a wide audience.

Ashamed!

Ashamed! is the fourth informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!.  It is based on a reflection originally appearing on OCA News in November of 2010 entitled Message Received.  In it the author examines the disconnect (outright hypocrisy if you ask me) in Metropolitan Philip's values (or rather lack thereof).  Specific attention is given to Philip's intolerance of a simple priest (Fr. David Moretti) wearing his cassock in public - going so far as expelling the priest and his family from their parish (and home) just three weeks prior to Christmas - while at the same time continuing to welcome into his "inner circle" a Federally convicted felon (Walid Kalife) and a priest (Fr. Joseph Antypas) who has admitted to routinely forging the signature of a deceased treasurer on parish checks.  Of particular note is Philip's merciless behavior while engaged in expelling the priest when contrasted to the humble response of the priest in question.  All in all quite an enlightening examination of Philip and his reprobate values.  Worthy of a wide audience - please see that it receives such.

Overcoming Corruption Through Stewardship

Overcoming Corruption Through Stewardship is the third informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!  It is a reprint of an article originally appearing on OCA News in November of 2010.  In it the author, Jason Barker, examines how we within the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America can effectively use our tithes and offerings to express our displeasure and facilitate change as laity working in unison to bring financial accountability to the doorstep of Metropolitan Philip and the miscreants with whom he surrounds himself (can you say Walid?).  The author presents the means and if effectively implemented on a wide-scale across the Archdiocese they should give Philip and those (both foreign and domestic) upon whom he financially showers our cold hard cash pause to reconsider their past, present, and future actions. Note to Philip & Co. - there will be an external audit one day - count on it.  Another well written article and worthy of a wide audience - please see that it receives such.

Why God Allows Wicked Bishops

Why God Allows Wicked Bishops is the second informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!.  It is a reprint of an article translated from Arabic to English originally appearing on Notes On Arab Orthodoxy in November of 2010.  In it the author, Archimandrite Touma (Bitar) examines, well, as the title says, why God allows wicked bishops (and by inference), especially within the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America and particularly in reference to Metropolitan Philip.  I have great respect for Father Touma.  He is an excellent writer and by all accounts a holy monk - would that he could serve the flock here in the Archdiocese as a true shepherd in place of the ravening wolf currently lairing in Englewood. As always Fr. Touma's words of wisdom are well written and worthy of a wide audience - please see that it receives such.

The Myth Ends

The Myth Ends is the first informational pamphlet to be released in PDF format by Anaxios!  It is a reprint of a reflection originally appearing on OCA News in November of 2010.  In it the author examines the standing of converts within the Antiochian Archdiocese in relation to the degree they assist (or not) in sustaining the personality cult surrounding Metropolitan Philip.  It is a well written reflection and worthy of a wide audience - please see that it receives such.
Note: The webmasters at Anaxios! would certainly welcome any additional insights from the anonymous priest who authored The Myth Ends for future publication.
